At the street market a very, very old friend returns at 12.30pm and 2.30pm - mind where he puts his feet!

FANCY DRESS AT THE FESTIVAL

The theme for the fancy dress competitions is of course Royal and we encourage visitors, stall holders and stalls to follow the theme.

There will be a competition for the best dressed adult and junior and the best dressed stall. Listen out for the announcement on street market day for the contestants to be judged.

LIMITED ACCESS TO
HIGH STREET

To ensure the safety of visitors to the Festival street market access to the High Street will be restricted.

Street Market

Starting at 10 am on the last Saturday of Festival week 25th June 2022 the stall holders, up to 60 gather for business on the High Street.

The Street Market will be officially opened by His Worship the Mayor of Stafford Borough Councillor Philip Leason at 10am.

There are usually a  large variety of stalls and products and food available for the visiting public. In addition the town centre shops and businesses are open and taking part.
Music forms a part of the days activities, with activities for the younger visitor.

There are usually events taking place in the Holy Trinity Church and the ladies provided an open air cafe in and around the parish room with home baked products, sandwiches  and drinks at popular prices.

OPEN GARDENS

The Festival kicked off with an Open gardens events organised by the Ecclian Society and featuring as many as fifteen domestic gardens. The event took place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19th June They all had owners who love gardening and were happy to share with other garden lovers.
