The 2012 Festival takes place over nine days from Saturday 16th June to Sunday 24th June.

Local clubs and organisations are asked to take part in the nine days by arranging events, quizzes, fashion shows, treasure hunts etc. With the Street market taking place on Saturday 23rd June.

The Festival is organised by a group of local volunteers who want to make this bi-ennial event the high spot of the town's social activities and with the help of local businesses, clubs and residents we hope to succeed.

There have been Festival's in the parish for many, many years with a festival every other year for the past thirty years in modern times, and they can be traced back at least to the beginning of the 20th century.
