The modern Eccleshall Festivals began in 1978 with a Victorian Street market and various events and has continued with this successful formula since then.

The 2008 Festival stretched over 15 days and included not only a street market but over twenty events organised by local clubs and organisations.

Eccleshall has over 250 businesses and over sixty organisations and clubs many of whom take part in the financing or organising of the Festival.
